Terms of Service

1. Overview

These Terms of Service govern your use of Agent Characters and the purchase of digital character configuration products available on this website. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Products

Agent Characters sells digital character instructions and reference files. Our guided installers currently support OpenClaw, Claude Code, and Hermes Agent; compatibility with every AI product is not promised. Installation requires a terminal, curl, and the selected platform already installed or running with the necessary file permissions.

3. Purchases & Payments

All purchases are processed securely through our payment provider. By making a purchase, you agree to pay the listed price for the selected product. All prices are listed in USD. Dodo Payments may display applicable taxes or a local-currency total before you confirm payment. Access is added to the signed-in purchasing account after successful payment is verified; provider or webhook delays can postpone delivery.

4. Refund Policy

Except where applicable law provides a cancellation, refund, or other mandatory right, digital purchases are final once access has been supplied. If a verified technical issue prevents access to or use of a purchased character on a supported platform, contact support. We will investigate and may provide troubleshooting, replacement access, or a refund as appropriate. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable consumer law.

5. License & Usage

Upon purchase, you receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the character configuration for your own private use. You may adapt the files for your own tools, but automated installation and support are limited to the three platforms named above. You may not redistribute, resell, or share purchased character files.

6. Installation, Restarts & Removal

Generated installers are shell scripts that download and write local configuration files. OpenClaw requires its CLI version 0.4 or newer and starts the character in a new session. Claude Code writes a subagent file under ~/.claude/agentsand may require a restart when that directory is first created. Hermes writes files in its data directory, may back up different existing files, and requires a process or container restart. Installation is not automatically undone: use OpenClaw's configuration tools, delete the Claude Code subagent file, or remove/restore the Hermes files and backups as applicable. Review commands and preserve your own configuration before use.

7. Behavior, Access & Updates

Character files guide an underlying AI model; they do not replace it. Output varies by platform, model, version, existing instructions, and user input, so we do not guarantee a specific tone, response, performance improvement, or error-free result. A purchase is a one-time payment rather than a subscription. We may provide updates to purchased files, but do not promise every future character, platform integration, or indefinite service availability unless explicitly stated at purchase.

8. Intellectual Property

All character configurations, names, descriptions, artwork, and associated content are the original intellectual property of Agent Characters. All rights are reserved.

9. Limitation of Liability

Agent Characters is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of our products or services, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page and are effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any modified terms.
